The Shambhala Meditation Center of Atlanta is part of Shambhala International, a worldwide community of over one hundred urban and rural meditation practice and retreat centers, founded by Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, Tibetan Buddhist meditation master and author of numerous books, including Shambhala: Sacred Path of the Warrior and Heart of the Buddha.

The leader and principal teacher of Shambhala International is Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche (www.mipham.com), son and spiritual heir of Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche.

Meditation instruction is offered at the center several times a week – at the Tuesday Night Open House, at Sunday morning practice, and by appointment.

More in-depth instruction is available once a month at the Saturday morning Learn To Meditate class . The offerings are listed to the left of this page.

A deeper experience can be had at Shambhala Training Level I, a weekend class. Level I offers meditation instruction, training, and practice. See the schedule (center column of this page) for class dates.
